Hi

I eventually had a Depo injection today, however this is a result of phoning the P.A.L.s dept at the hospital this morning. Within an hour my Rhuemy nurse rang and asked what was happening.

I explained I didn't feel the Cimzia is working and my GP had been trying to contact my Rhuemy specialist all last week to ask about steroid injection as things had got very bad for me and I was very distressed too.

The nurse said she would speak to my specialist to let her know the difficulties I'm having. The outside company also haven't contacted me about delivering more loaded syringes, so the nurse said she would contact them too.

WHY is it we need to chase 'The professionals' who should be making life that little bit easier, less painful and managable???

Why has life turned so difficult since this dammed condition, my life was supposed to get easier as my son got older, left school, I took a better job, both in pay and promotion, now I'm having meetings to discuss 'my position'.

Am really fed up, this is my summer hols, time to chill and feel well, so far that has been the complete opposite.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Sorry to rant, needed to let some steam off!!

Hope you are all pain free

Hi Trace

Well pleased to hear that after all the palaver of the last week you have now managed to have the depo jab you so desperately needed. I m sure I am one of many on here who have to struggle at times to get the right level of care and attention needed with RA, I ve said it before on here, if these professionals had RA for just one day I m sure they would treat us much better.

Hope you get the next delivery sorted, and hopefully the Cimzia will kick back in again for you. Remember no one wants you to say sorry Trace, we understand how rotten it can be at times, just hope you feel bit better very soon.

Hi Tracy

So pleased you have finally had your jab and I really hope it does the trick and you sart to move more easily soon.

I don't think anyone who doesn't have RA can possibly understand the pain, exhaustion and frustration of it all. Sadly, this includes some health professionals. If they had to live with the disease for just one bad day, I'm sure they would be more understanding.

Take care

Much love
Jeanxx

Hi Trace,

Sorry your feeling down, try and get a rest and relax, as a pastoral manager you will certainly need it working with all those lovely year 7s starting in September.

Hi Ladies,

Thank you all for your kind messages of support, it is much appreciated.

I have been out into town today, NEEDED to do some stuff, left foot very sore resulting in having to come home before I had finished.

My back and shoulder feels better today, but that is the only positive I can find today. Sorry for moaning, but I feel pretty pants about life to be honest. Sad

Annie, I know for a fact I have some difficult yr 7's coming up, including some with Behaviour statements......oh God, this is gonna be tough. Oh well, I will do as I always do, and that is my best 100% energy and effort.

I hope I get up tomorrow in a better still physical state,

Trace xx

Hello Tracey

Glad you got your injection - even though not fully effective yet - fingers crossed for you.

It is horrible I totally understand Tracey, I started Humira 8th June in the hope I would
be a new woman, is that the case ? ? no its not. Like you I feel when WILL IT END.

Chasing up all the time is awful. I have been trying to get hold of RA nurse (there are 2)
but BOTH are on holiday and no messages can be answered and you are directed to your
GP. grr grr . sob sob

Chin up

Hi Trace

So sorry to hear how rough you have been feeling. As hard as it is do try to not let it get you down. Things really will get better so hang in there and try to stay positive. I know how difficult it can be to grin and bear it but sometimes it's the only way to stay on top of this damned disease. You have a good few weeks before the start of term so try to rest when you are able and limit what you do when you feel well, tempting as it may be to go mad and make the most of good days!

Thinking about you and hoping the depo injection brings some welcome relief.

Hi Rose

It's still early days Rose so hang in there! I know how frustrating it can be when you don't get the expected results and nothing improves but it can take up to 3 months for Humira/Enbrel to get into the system and working properly. If the Humira doesn't do the trick there are other options but lets hope it doesn't come to that. Sorry you are still having all these problems, it's been such a slow progression through the meds for you and time your luck changed. Take care Rose,

Lyn xx

Morning All,

Well, woke up this morning still with a very painful left foot. Did the hot water bottle, elevation, painkillers and that stuff last night.

Was awake at 3.15 this morning.

Lyn, thank you for your kind words, I usually am quite positive, but am finding that very difficult at the moment, not 100% sure why.

Looks like another day of restrictions today TUTT

Trace xxSad

ps, hope you are all well and pain free today x
